Samer Hassan

Samer Hassan dedicated all his life to the study of martial arts and wellness and healing aspects of Far Eastern oriental philosophies, and how they can affect people’s health and lifestyle in a positive way.

He was introduced to martial arts since the young age of 7, by a Chinese martial artist. Since then, he was hooked. He kept studying many kinds of martial arts until he graduated to the Physical Education College – Training Department – specialised in Wu Sho Kung Fu.

To continue his journey, he travelled to China, where – to the Wu Sho College, he obtained a Master Degree in Wu Shu, specialised Qi Gong. During his trip to China, Samer got acquainted with Chinese Buddhist and Muslim monks, developing his techniques in Chin na, San Shu, Iron Qi Gong and Tai Chi. The time spent in China also allowed him to open his mind to different kinds of lifestyles and philosophies, paving for him the way to a tolerant and open approach to all kinds of cultures and nationalities.

He came back to Cairo, finding it the ideal place to implement his studies, where he obtained several international certifications pertaining to different aspects of health and fitness.

He is the founder of the Dragon Academy Wellness and Martial Arts Center in Cairo, which aims at teaching people how to express their negative emotions in a positive way through martial arts. And using it as a tool to increase one’s own awareness and to develop a balanced and healthy lifestyle.

Samer is also the creator of the Dragon Fitness programes - such as Dragon Fire, Dragon Heaven and Dragon Tone – which are revolutionary martial arts fitness programs.
