Karim Strougo, Founder and President of the
SAFE Convention TM, is also the Founder and
Managing Partner of STEP Center, and the
President of SAFE Academy, the first
International Fitness Education Academy in
the Middle-East. Karim is also a renowned
fitness presenter and an AFAA CEU Provider.
Karim is certified in both Group Exercise
and Personal Training from the Aerobics &
Fitness Association of America (AFAA) and
has a long experience in working with
clients suffering from medical and/or
physiological problems.
Karim is also the creator of IBM (Integrated
Body Mechanics®), a revolutionary training
method, which was the product of years of
experience in personal training and one full
year of thorough research and study of
applied bio-mechanics and functional
training.
As an educator, Karim Strougo is the founder
and author of the first Egyptian course in
fitness education entitled “Primary
Certification in Physical Education &
Aerobics TM”, which was a revolutionary
landmark in fitness education in Egypt and
lead to a boom in the number of certified
Egyptian instructors. In 2006, Karim also
released the first edition of his Personal
Training book entitled “Personal Training: A
broader look on exercise TM”, which is the
official manual for his now famous personal
training course by the same title.
Due to his fame as a Fitness Educator with
integrity and his success in creating
successful protocols for managing fitness
centers, Karim is currently a consultant for
a multitude of health and fitness centers,
sports clubs and gym-room equipment
companies in Egypt and several countries in
the Middle-East. He is also a frequent
speaker on several TV and Radio shows and
his expertise is often sought by Egyptian
and Middle-Eastern magazines.
